Jimena Ruiz-Gonzalez is the Finance Officer for the Community Financial Fund and a third-year Economics and Communication major at UCSB, also pursuing the Technology Management Certificate.

This is Jimena’s second year with CFF. Last year, she served as Information Officer, where she helped revise and improve the Financial Literacy workshop presentation to make it more accurate and engaging for students. Now, as Finance Officer, she manages the fund’s budget and supports events that make personal finance approachable.

Outside of CFF, Jimena is the Program Assistant for UCSB’s New Venture Program, where she helps plan workshops and supports students through their startup journey. She also works at the California NanoSystems Institute, assisting the financial team and supporting ongoing research operations. In addition, she serves as Co-President of the Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP!), leading outreach and mentorship for high school students developing their own business ideas.

A fun fact about Jimena is that she’s a huge Dodgers fan.
