Thomas Zheng

Peer Advisor

Thomas Zheng is the Peer Advisor for Community Financial Fund. He is a 3rd-year Economics and Accounting major who is also pursuing the Technology Management Program Certificate. This is his second year serving as Peer Advisor, a role he’s deeply passionate about.

What drew Thomas to financial advising was seeing how many students, himself included, felt overwhelmed by personal finance topics like budgeting, credit, and investing. He realized that with the right guidance, these concepts could be empowering rather than intimidating.

Now, he’s committed to helping students build confidence in their financial decisions through approachable, hands-on learning.

Outside of CFF, Thomas is a Resident Assistant, where he supports student wellness and community building. In addition, he also works as an Accounting Grader with the UCSB TAG (Tutors & Graders) program and serves as a strategy consultant for 180 Degrees Consulting.

A fun fact about Thomas is that he launched an online business a few years ago, and it’s still running strong!
